About Us

Providing Hope Outreach has been a staple in the Berryville Community for over 20 years and serves over 2,000 clients in the Carroll County area. We exist to provide free clothing, accessories and household items to families in need. Many families just need a little help to make the ends meet. We serve families of all kinds and many senior citizens living on a fixed income. Our mission is to meet these physical needs, as well as offer prayer, friendship and support. Our store has been successful in helping countless individuals, and we are proud to have been able to be a part of their stories.

The Free Store Journey

The Free Store began its journey as the Berryville Free Store in August of 1999 located on the Berryville square next to La Cabana. After a few years of growth it was clear we needed a larger building and moved into one on the flip side of the square at 120 East Church Street. We have been open more than 23 years and the journey has been amazing. Building relationships with our clients and creating friendships has been the highlight of our journey. Watching children grow up and seeing how we can help with their needs, whether they are emotional, spiritual or physical, has been a journey worth taking. We have seen lives transformed and it's God who gets all the glory.

Clothing those in need (Matthew 25:44) is important to Jesus. We have seen over and over that helping alleviate the financial burden for struggling families, single parents, grandparents raising grandchildren, the homeless, burnouts, those recently leaving incarceration, makes a HUGE impact on lives.

There are hundreds of precious stories that point to our Lord Jesus giving hope to these individuals lives .

That's why we are here.

Just recently our financial backer out of St. Louis Missouri pulled out. We are now in need of financial help from our own community to keep this ministry alive and well.
